ENERGY STAR® is a voluntary program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that helps businesses save money and protect the environment through the use of energy-efficient products and practices. Properties use an online tracking tool provided by the EPA to measure the efficiency of automated energy management systems and lighting standards, among other initiatives. A property must score 75 points or higher to be eligible to apply for the ENERGY STAR program.

ENERGY STAR is a rating recognized by 87% of the American public today. The EPA estimates that program participants had cumulatively prevented more than 1.8 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions as of 2012. Under the EPA’s leadership, businesses and organizations have made investments in energy efficiency that are transforming the market for efficient products and practices, creating jobs and stimulating the economy. Tower 1851 is proud to participate in the ENERGY STAR program, endeavoring for the highest standards in energy efficiency to date.
